The United Faculty of Florida represents faculty in collective bargaining, in due process, in the halls of Tallahassee, and in the public eye. Membership is how we work together for our shared values. There are concrete member benefits such as professional liability insurance; combining our voices on critical issues is even more valuable.
Dues are 1% of gross pay (taken in small amount every paycheck), which is a lower percentage of income than most unions. Many members who itemize deductions for income tax purposes list UFF dues as unreimbursed professional expenses.
